Welcome to the 108th Annual Pike County Fair, July 28 – August 5, 2017

You’ll enjoy the number and quality of exhibits and displays that are the product of hard working, creative people from the Pike County area. There is ample time during a leisurely stroll around the grounds to see old friends, make new friends and just “people watch”. A visit to the Pike County Fair is a chance to share quality time with your family and neighbors. See you there!

The Fair Board Office located at 311 Mill Street, Piketon will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays starting July 3rd from 2:00 – 7:00.

Pike County Fair Market Hog and Gilt Show

With the recent information received from the Ohio Department of Agriculture concerning confirmed cases of influenza in swine at two County Fairs in Ohio, the Pike County Agricultural Society has decided to cancel the 2017 Gilt show which was to be held Thursday, August 3rd at 8:00 am.

Market Hogs will arrive at the normal time which is Sunday, July 29th from 6:00-9:00 am. Our Fair Vet will be present and hogs will be checked for signs of illness before unloading. Extension staff, Sr. Fair Board members will not enter trucks or trailers. Unloading will be the responsibility of the exhibitor and parents/guardian. Once unloaded weigh-in crew will assist the exhibitor through the scales and into his or her pen. Disinfectant boot bath stations will be around the swine barn area along with hand sanitation stations.

As a reminder to those visiting our livestock areas during fair week:

  • No food or drink will be allowed in the livestock barns
  • No strollers, sippy cups or pacifiers are allowed in livestock barns
  • Wash hands/or sanitize hands thoroughly, particularly after handling livestock or being in the barn, before eating or touching mouth

General Fair Information

Daily Admission – $7.00
  • Rides are free with single day admission ticket
  • Free admission to active Military with ID
  • Children under the age of 2 are admitted free


Season Ticket – $25.00
  • 1 person admission to fairgrounds for 7 days
  • Valid dates – Sunday, July 30, 2017 through Saturday, August 5, 2017
  • Must show season ticket & pay $6.00 at ticket booth to ride
  • No voting rights with season ticket


Membership Ticket – $35.00
  • 1 person admission to fairgrounds for 7 days
  • Valid dates – Sunday, July 30, 2017 through Saturday, August 5, 2017
  • Entitles a person to vote at the annual election of Fair Board Directors according to rules of Pike County Agricultural Society
  • Must be 16 years of age and a resident of Pike County to purchase a Membership Ticket
  • Must show membership ticket & pay $6.00 at ticket booth to ride\


Junior Fair Members (4-H)
  • Members of 4-H will receive arm bands from OSU Extension or 4-H Club Adviser
  • Must show 4-H arm band & pay $6.00 at ticket booth to ride


  • One dollar parking fee will be charged daily when entering the fairgrounds
  • Fair week parking pass $15.00
  • Handicap parking is located on the top of the hill in front of the horse barns, around infield race track and at the bottom of the hill along the swine barn. Vehicles parked illegally will be towed at owners expense.


Midway Rides
  • Monday, July 31st rides will begin after being inspected and approved by State Inspector
  • Tuesday, August 1st through Saturday, August 5th rides will operate from 1:00-5:00 pm and 6:00-10:00 pm.
  • Height gauges at ride area. Must be 36 in. to ride most rides


Fairground Rules
  • No concealed carry permitted
  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No laser pointers allowed
  • No pets (Guide dogs only)
  • No refund on gate admission
  • Shoes & shirts worn at all times
  • No ATV, golf carts, etc. Only Fairboard members are permitted to operate recreational vehicles per insurance policy


Concessions Info

Concessions on the Pike County Fairgrounds are under the direction of Ryan Knight. Ryan takes great pride in making sure that the tastes you discover at the fair are as diverse as possible. Working with longtime concessionaires or newly discovered talents, his goal is to make sure there is something tasty for everyone that is reasonably priced and prepared to perfection! Whether it’s a Lemon Shake-up, Italian Ice, Elephant Ear or a Steak Sandwich you can rest assured Shannon has a vendor on the grounds just waiting to fix you your favorite fair food!

We have approximately 225 camping sites, each with water and 30 amp and 50 amp electric service. During the fair the sites are rented for $145.00 each for 20′ x 40′ space and $220.00 each for 25′ x 50′ space. Primitive camping is $80.00 for the week. Non-fair week camping is $25.00 a night. 50 amp electric service is available in some areas of the campgrounds. The grounds are not available for public camping during the fair. Note: Extension cords must be at least 10 gauge 3 wire type. Deadline to hold 2016 spot for 2017 camping will be May 1st, 2017.
